New Poynter hub serves journalists working with AI and audiences trying to make sense of it - Poynter

Newsrooms are using AI for tasks such as transcribing interviews, summarizing public meetings, and sorting large document and data sets, while some have banned AI and many operate between those extremes. Audiences are also encountering more AI-generated images and videos, low-quality “pink slime” sites, and AI-driven newsletters. The hub aims to help newsrooms use AI responsibly without losing audience trust and to help audiences understand how AI shapes the information they consume. It includes training and member programming, including a live webinar on using AI effectively, improving workflows, recognizing tool limitations, and integrating AI responsibly.
