"I'm excited to take a breath, spend time with loved ones and see what comes next. ""Her presence on the anchor desk, as a trusted, reliable voice in Boston, for more than two decades, leaves an impact beyond her departure." The announcement highlighted a number of major stories, from Patriots' Super Bowl wins to two royal weddings, that Khazei has covered at the station. Kim Khazei will leave WHDH/WLVI's 7News at the end of the year after over two decades with the station. Khazei joined in 1994 and currently co-anchors the 5, 6, 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts with Adam Williams. Her coverage has included Patriots Super Bowl wins and two royal weddings, and news director Linda Miele noted there has not been a major story in the last 20 years that Khazei did not share with viewers. Khazei took a six-year leave beginning in 2001 to raise her three children and is relocating to be closer to family.
