Joan Lunden, a prominent television personality with over 40 years in broadcasting, began her career at Channel 7 Eyewitness News in New York. She is releasing her 11th book, "Joan: Life Beyond the Script," her most personal work to date. The memoir examines her remarkable life, including breaking barriers for working mothers during her time on "Good Morning America," her advocacy efforts in Washington for paid family leave, and her public battle with breast cancer. Lunden recently spoke with longtime co-worker Bill Ritter about her career, life experiences, and advice for young journalists entering the news industry. She will discuss her book at The Temple Emanu-el's Streicker Cultural Center in New York City on March 10, with free registration available.
