Emiru, a creator known for cosplay livestreams with over a million subscribers, was assaulted during a fan Meet and Greet at TwitchCon when a man cut in line, grabbed her and leaned toward her face. Personal security intervened and removed the individual while on-site Twitch security remained distant, according to Emiru. Footage of the incident went viral and prompted public condemnation. Emiru said she initially thought the person was staff, then screamed when he tried to kiss her. She said she is shaken, will press charges, will not return to TwitchCon, and accuses Twitch of lying about its response.
