Dontay Corleone partnered with Bucketheads sports bar to create a signature burger called The Godfather and earned $2 per sale while making occasional in-store appearances. He helped choose ingredients: a house burger topped with pulled pork, American cheese and a fried onion ring. The burger produced modest income relative to major college contracts, but Corleone consistently prioritized loyalty to his Cincinnati roots and community connections over chasing larger deals. A summer 2024 doctor visit uncovered blood clots in his lung, threatening both his football career and his ties to the city.
"When I first got to college, my mom said I was here for three or four years, no transfer portal," Corleone said. "I was never the guy to chase money. I was always loyalty over everything. I wanted that connection."
"If you have to ask," Scott said, "you don't want to know."
