"The FA have confirmed that Rodri admitted that he acted in an improper manner during a post-match media interview by making comments that imply bias and/or question the integrity of a match official and/or match officials."
"I wish to make clear that I did not intend to imply bias or question the integrity of the match officials."
Manchester City midfielder Rodri was fined £80,000 by the FA for comments made after City's 2-2 draw with Tottenham on February 1, where he questioned referee Robert Jones's neutrality. The incident followed a controversial decision not to disallow a Dominic Solanke goal. Rodri admitted to acting improperly by implying bias and questioning match official integrity during his post-match interview. Initially claiming his words were misunderstood, Rodri later acknowledged they were inappropriate and fell below expected standards. Crucially, he received no suspension, allowing him to continue playing for Pep Guardiola's side without missing matches.
