Report: Ruben Amorim asks Man United to sign 58 G/A star this summer
Briefly

Manchester United's manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen on signing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, highlighting the difficulty of his start at Old Trafford. Following a challenging beginning, Amorim recognizes a need for more attacking talent, especially following Marcus Rashford's loan to Aston Villa and potential moves for underperforming players like Rasmus Hojlund. Gyokeres, with his impressive tally of 58 goals and assists this season, presents an enticing option, although concerns remain about his adaptability to the Premier League after transitioning from lower leagues.
Gyokeres has been in unstoppable form this season, contributing a total of 58 goals and assists in all competitions for club and country. The 26-year-old would be an absolutely enormous upgrade on the likes of Hojlund if he could replicate that kind of form in the Premier League.
Amorim only left Sporting to take over at Man Utd a few months ago, but it's not too surprising to see that he's eager to raid his former club already.
If you ever think about doing something like that again, your backside will be OUT that door before it touches the ground!
Gyokeres has exploded into some world class form for Sporting, while his previous club was Championship side Coventry City, so producing that kind of form in the English top flight would be a very different challenge.
