Report: Manchester United star's transfer to Euro giants could fall through
Jadon Sancho may need a new club after a season-long loan at Aston Villa fails to produce a strong impact. Borussia Dortmund had been considered for a third spell, but a deal now appears unlikely. Dortmund are reportedly unsure about paying a transfer fee for Sancho, especially since he could instead extend his contract at Manchester United. United may use an option to extend his deal by one year to preserve potential resale value. Dortmund also reportedly have internal concerns about whether Sancho can return to his best level. Sancho previously succeeded at Dortmund as a youngster, but struggled at Manchester United and had mixed results on later loans.
"Sancho flopped with the Red Devils, though, and ended up returning to Dortmund on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season. Once again, Sancho really looked at home in that famous yellow and black kit, though his form suffered again with a loan spell at Chelsea, and then this season at Villa. United would surely do well to just give up on Sancho now and let him leave for free rather than keeping this under-performing player"
