Paul Pogba has joined AS Monaco, marking his return to football after a doping ban that initially imposed a four-year suspension in February 2024, later reduced to 18 months. Monaco announced Pogba has signed a two-year contract, making him the first French club he plays for in his senior career. Prior to this, Pogba had a tumultuous period at Juventus with just 12 appearances, having left Manchester United in 2022. He is a decorated player with both club victories and international caps for France.
AS Monaco are delighted to announce the arrival of Paul Pogba. The French world champion has signed a two-season deal and is now tied to the Principality until 30 June 2027.
Pogba was provisionally suspended from playing for a doping offence in September 2023 and was handed an initial four-year ban in February 2024, though it was reduced to 18 months last October.
