Patrick Dorgu started on the right wing for Manchester United and scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Newcastle. Ruben Amorim selected a back four while seven senior players, including Bruno Fernandes, were absent. Dorgu has prior experience playing wide at his former club and treats the advanced wide role similarly to wing-back, coming inside onto his stronger foot to attack and link with teammates. The 21-year-old joined from Lecce in February for up to €35m and delivered an all-action display as United secured their first Old Trafford win in two months and aimed to build confidence ahead of the next game.
