Carrick left Middlesbrough in June 2025 and will step into the role while INEOS postpones a permanent appointment until summer. Darren Fletcher is expected to return to the Under-18s, with Travis Binnion, Jonny Evans, Jonathan Woodgate and Steve Holland joining the coaching group.
