Manchester United dealt transfer blow as deal agreed' for summer target
"Manchester United have lost out on one of their top transfer targets with a deal in place for the young forward Mohamed Kader Meite. The Rennes teenager, is thought to be on United's shortlist of options looking ahead to the summer window, but it appears that he is going elsewhere. Fabrizio Romano reports that the 18-year-old will be moving to the Saudi Pro League, where a 30million deal has been agreed with Rennes for Meite's services."
"Hilal boast the likes of former Premier League stars Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Darwin Nunez and Pablo Mari. They also have ex-AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez, Brazilians Marcos Leonardo and Malcom, and former Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in their squad. Yassine Bono' Bounou, the Morocco goalkeeper, plays in net for Simone Inzaghi's side. Neves, who has been another rumoured United target this month, is also set to sign a new deal in the Middle East, Romano reports, with talks over a three-year contract advancing."
Mohamed Kader Meite, an 18-year-old Rennes forward, will join Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League after a 30million deal was agreed with Rennes. Multiple Premier League clubs had approached the striker, but Meite will undergo a medical at Al Hilal. Al Hilal's squad features several high-profile players including Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Darwin Nunez and Theo Hernandez. Ruben Neves is advancing talks over a three-year contract and Joao Cancelo is on Al Hilal's books but currently on loan at Barcelona. Manchester United are unlikely to make transfers this month while their head coach remains uncertain; Michael Carrick is interim manager and has won his first two games after Ruben Amorim's sacking.
