De Ligt: I'm years away from my prime
Briefly

Matthijs de Ligt looks forward to his second season with Manchester United, citing that as a 25-year-old centre-back, he still has time to improve. He aims to build a strong team dynamic and showcase the club's capabilities to the world. De Ligt expresses a personal desire to maintain his form from late last season while emphasizing the importance of fitness. He wants to instill a winning mentality within the team and bring back positive energy to the fans as the new season approaches.
I feel there's still a lot more to come. Sometimes me and other football fans forget I'm still 25, and as a centre-back you're normally in your prime at 28 or 29, so in that way, I'm still quite young.
Hopefully we can build something together at United to show the world what we're capable of.
My personal goal, and also to stay fit, that is really important. And then the goal with the team is to really show everybody what it is to play for United.
It's a nice feeling to start over again, because it gives you a clean slate, and hopefully from the start we can really get these positive vibes back.
