""I've always been quite relaxed about my future," said Fletcher. "I've enjoyed it, I really have. I've tried to relish it. I think I'm quite well prepared. I've always tried to prepare myself to be a manager in the future. It was something I always thought that I would maybe be quite good at or something that I'd enjoy doing.""
Darren Fletcher is prepared to be Manchester United's head coach until the end of the season and has enjoyed his interim role. He will take charge of his second United game in the FA Cup against Brighton at Old Trafford. He is among candidates considered to lead the club through the remainder of the campaign, alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick and Ruud van Nistelrooy. Fletcher served as under-18s coach and felt ready for senior management after United's 2-2 draw with Burnley. He received the call to manage on Monday following Ruben Amorim's sacking, and his longer-term future remains uncertain.
