Barnsley sign veteran striker McGoldrick
Briefly

Veteran striker David McGoldrick signed a one-year deal with Barnsley following his departure from Notts County. At 37, he brings significant experience, having scored 163 league goals over 21 years in professional football. Barnsley manager Conor Hourihane praised McGoldrick's football intelligence and leadership qualities. McGoldrick previously played for several clubs, including Southampton and Sheffield United, and experienced Premier League football. Last season, he scored 22 goals for Derby in League One. His addition is expected to enhance Barnsley’s squad as they seek to improve upon their 12th place finish in League One.
I've known 'Didzy' for many years and his football intelligence, technical ability and eye for goal speak for themselves. Beyond that, he's a top character and someone I know our younger players will look up to.
His experience, quality, and leadership both on and off the pitch will be invaluable to our squad. He's had an incredible career at the highest levels of the game and still has so much to offer.
