Antony completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to Real Betis for €25m (£21.7m) with a 50% sell-on clause. He moved to Manchester United from Ajax in 2022 for a reported £82m (€95m) and registered 12 goals and five assists in 96 appearances for the club. The Brazilian spent the second half of 2024-25 on loan at Betis, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 26 appearances as the team reached the Conference League final. He created 37 chances and completed 24 dribbles in LaLiga during the loan spell. United also confirmed loans for Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli and Harry Amass to Sheffield Wednesday.
