"Speaking about the brain haemorrhage in his 2021 documentary Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, he said: 'There were five brain haemorrhages that day. Three died. Two survived. You know you are lucky.'"
The 84-year-old former Manchester United manager received precautionary medical attention before a match. He was taken to hospital but is expected to recuperate at home. Ferguson, who led the club to 38 trophies, was first attended to in the Stretford End tunnel. He previously underwent life-saving surgery after a brain haemorrhage in 2018. Despite a decline in his ambassadorial role, he continues to attend games regularly at Old Trafford.
