Manchester City are reported to be interested in 19-year-old winger Said El Mala ahead of the January transfer window. El Mala rose through Viktoria Koln and a loan spell at FC Koln before starring for newly-promoted Koln in the Bundesliga. Koln sit seventh after nine games, with El Mala contributing four goals and two assists in nine appearances. Koln signed him to a new five-year contract with no release clause after rejecting a 20m bid from Brighton. Borussia Dortmund and other major clubs have shown interest, and Bild described him as one of the league's biggest talents alongside Lennart Karl.
