Manchester City chair Khaldoon Al Mubarak voiced concerns over rising ticket prices and related fan protests. In April, the club announced a ticket price freeze for the 2025-26 season due to supporter unrest. During a game against Leicester, fans protested by staying on the concourses for the first nine minutes, dissatisfied with a new third-party ticket resale partnership. Al Mubarak stressed the necessity of trust between fans and the club, indicating that ongoing dialogues with fan groups like City Matters are crucial for addressing and understanding these important issues.
I think this issue on ticketing is no doubt something that has... I'm not OK with the way it played out.
What I'm sure about and I hope this message comes out loud and clear, is that relationship of trust between the fans and the club is the foundation of the success and sustainability of this club.
