Pep Guardiola insists he will not change his tactics or philosophy after a frustrating season for Manchester City, as they aim for an FA Cup final spot against Nottingham Forest. Although facing challenges in the Premier League and needing potential squad rebuild in the summer, Guardiola believes in a better season ahead. City are working towards achieving their third consecutive FA Cup final, yet for Forest, this marks their first semi-final appearance since the early '90s. Guardiola is determined to maintain his approach and is optimistic about future club dynamics.
"The FA Cup win does not give you the certainty to come back to what we were," said Guardiola, emphasizing that while another trophy would be nice, it wouldn't restore the club's previous status.
"But I will not change. It can happen to all the teams in the world, not just Manchester City. It surprised me in the mid-season, eight years to arrive at that stage," Guardiola remarked on the unpredictable nature of football.
"I have the feeling that next season will be better. We will compete better. We will be more who we are," Guardiola expressed optimism about future performance despite current struggles.
