Glasgow City power into Women's Scottish Cup final
Briefly

Glasgow City triumphed over Motherwell in the Women's Scottish Cup semi-final, with a decisive 4-0 victory. After a tough start where Motherwell displayed resilience, City broke through with Sofia Maatta and Nicole Kozlova scoring in the first half. Katie Lockwood added two more goals post-intermission, showcasing City’s attacking power. Despite Motherwell's initial containment, their future looks bright with a top-six finish in SWPL and reaching the last four of the cup. Head coach Leanne Ross expressed satisfaction with the team's performance as they advance to face either Rangers or Aberdeen in the final.
It was a comfortable performance. Our patterns of play came out and the individual quality we have throughout the team shone. All in all, really pleased with the performance and result.
Motherwell did well to contain City for spells but struggled to create openings of their own. However, their achievements in securing a SWPL top-six finish and reaching the last four of the Scottish Cup give them cause for optimism for next season.
