"In the end, voters chose Judge, who continued to cement his place among baseball's all-time greats by becoming the 13th player to win MVP three or more times. He joins Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle as the only Yankees to have accomplished that feat. Judge finished ahead of Raleigh and Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez on Thursday in voting conducted by the Baseball Writers Association of America."
"It could be argued that 2025 was, from start to finish, the best season of Judge's career. He won his first batting title with a .331 average -- 20 points better than the rest of the major-league pack. Judge clubbed 53 home runs to become the fourth player ever with four seasons of at least 50 home runs while passing Berra and DiMaggio for fourth on the Yankees' all-time home run list."
Aaron Judge won the 2025 American League Most Valuable Player Award, becoming the 13th player to win MVP three or more times and joining Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle as the only Yankees with that distinction. Voters placed him ahead of Seattle's Cal Raleigh and Cleveland's Jose Ramirez in Baseball Writers Association of America balloting. Judge previously won in 2022 with an American League-record 62 home runs, overcame a 2023 toe injury, and produced a historic 2024 season (.322/.458/.701, 58 homers, 144 RBIs). In 2025 he won his first batting title at .331 and hit 53 home runs, becoming the fourth player with four 50-home-run seasons.
