""Off the bat, I honestly thought it was foul," Robertson said. "But with the wind, you have to go for it. As I was running, I was like, 'Oh, this is coming back,' and then make a play.""
""We talked in the beginning of the month about finishing strong and we just wanted to do our thing and do it the right way, play hard and do the things we can control," manager Will Venable said. "For it to end in wins like this and a road trip where we win six out of seven at the end of a 17-game stretch, just tons of credit to our group for just grinding and fighting.""
""Looking back you're like, 'Oh, wow, that's probably the highest I've ever jumped before in my life,'" he said."
Will Robertson made a leaping catch over the wall for the first out of the sixth inning and later produced a game-tying RBI single in the seventh. Andrew Benintendi gave the Sox an early lead with a two-out, two-run double. The Tigers scored two runs in the first on a throwing error after loading the bases. Lenyn Sosa drove in two in the eighth to put Chicago ahead. The White Sox won 6-4, took two of three in the series, and finished a 17-game stretch 10-7, winning six of seven on the trip. Attendance was 29,292.
