His struggles have been no secret - his seven blown saves are tied for fourth in the majors, his 2.12 HR/9 is second-worst among all relievers (second only to Chad Green), and according to FanGraphs, he's been worth just -0.2 wins above replacement. Not great."

Much of the public panic centers on bullpen struggles, with the relievers tied for third overall with five blown ninth-inning leads and a total of 25 blown leads. The bullpen ERA is 4.13, 16th in MLB. Jeff Hoffman has been inconsistent, with seven blown saves and a 2.12 HR/9, but he also has 30 saves and strong strikeout numbers; he projects as the postseason closer but should be used with a short leash.
