He returned but produced only six quality starts in 17 appearances, posting a career-high 5.19 ERA over 85 innings. His strikeout (23%) and walk (6%) rates remained slightly better than league averages, but an increased home-run rate (over two per nine) and reduced out-of-zone chasing damaged results. He still uses a four-pitch mix and averaged a 93.6 mph four-seam fastball, finishing the year healthy while providing veteran experience.
