Walker Buehler: Return To Dodger Stadium Is 'Surreal'
""Obviously surreal, and kind of all the emotions that go with it," Buehler told DodgerBlue.com. "But I think it was pretty cool. Obviously, what I've gone through in the last month or so, and for it to line up here at the end was pretty cool.""
""I just didn't know where the f- I was going, to be honest with you," Buehler said. "Then we were doing the celebration all that stuff, so definitely a cool week, and something I wasn't really prepared for.""
""Awesome," Buehler added about seeing everyone again. "Obviously, Clayton (Kershaw) and everything that goes along with that, and seeing him, and seeing all the staff, and a lot of new players and a lot of guys that I played a lot of games with, so yeah, special place for me.""
Walker Buehler returned to Dodger Stadium for the first time since the 2024 World Series parade after signing with the Boston Red Sox, being released, and joining the Philadelphia Phillies on a Minor League deal before September. The Phillies called him up on Sept. 12. Buehler did not pitch against the Dodgers but felt a mix of emotions during the visit. He stood on the visitor side for the first time and joined the Phillies' celebration as they clinched the National League East at Dodger Stadium. He spent three days reconnecting with former teammates and staff, including Clayton Kershaw, and described the experience as special and unexpected.
