These two players will be happy no matter who ends up winning the World Series
"Buddy Kennedy and Jose Urena are like the students in the group project who barely contributed but still brought home an A+. Instead of good grades though, they will both be crowned as World Series champions, regardless of the outcome between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers. "This August, Kennedy played two games as an infielder for the Blue Jays and seven for the Dodgers, while Urena pitched in eight games between the two teams, six for the Blue Jays in May and two for the Dodgers in June. Kennedy's stint with the Blue Jays, lasting only two short days back in August. The corresponding move at the time was a DFA of catcher Ali Sanchez."
Buddy Kennedy had extremely brief major-league stints in 2025, appearing in two games for the Blue Jays and seven for the Dodgers during August. Kennedy recorded a double and a run with Toronto and one hit plus an RBI with Los Angeles, after multiple designations for assignment and a minor-league re-signing to finish with Triple-A Buffalo. Jose Urena appeared in eight games across the season, signing with the Mets but getting DFA'd after one appearance before the Blue Jays added him amid injuries and rotation concerns. Both players will be awarded World Series titles regardless of the series outcome.
