Roman Anthony opened Monday’s game with a leadoff home run off Orioles starter Tomoyuki Sugano, driving a high fastball into the right-field seats. He became the youngest player in franchise history with a leadoff homer at 21 years, 104 days, surpassing Bobby Doerr’s 21 years, 116 days mark. Anthony recorded two hits and scored two runs in Boston’s 4-3 comeback win. He is batting .283 with a .396 on-base percentage, six home runs, 18 doubles, 28 RBIs and 44 runs in 63 games. After two homers in his first 50 games, he has four homers in his last 13 outings.
