Jorge Polanco hit two solo home runs, becoming the fourth Mariners player with a multi-homer postseason game. Tarik Skubal struck out nine across seven innings while limiting Seattle to five hits. The Tigers tied the game in the top of the eighth on a Spencer Torkelson double after a misfield by Josh Naylor. Andres Munoz retired the Tigers in order for the save after pitching the previous night.
