Predicting which Blue Jays prospects will make their league debuts in 2026
"This past season, the Toronto Blue Jays and fans got to witness the scintillating debut of Trey Yesavage in the major leagues. Yesavage played a key role in helping the Blue Jays reach the World Series despite having only joined the team in late September. It appears as though the young phenom has more or less secured a role for the upcoming season with the big league club."
"Following back-to-back solid minor league campaigns in 2023 and 2024, Kasevich was poised to make his big league in 2025 before injury woes wiped out the majority of his season. In the end, the 24-year-old shortstop appeared in just 29 games for Triple-A Buffalo and batted an uncharacteristic .173 with a .456 OPS, along with zero home runs and six RBIs."
Trey Yesavage debuted in the major leagues and played a key role in helping the Toronto Blue Jays reach the World Series after joining the team in late September. Yesavage appears to have secured a role with the big league club for the upcoming season. The organization contains many promising prospects who will seek opportunities to reach the majors in 2026. Shortstop Josh Kasevich, a Rule 5 Draft survivor, ranked among Toronto's top prospects and showed strong minor-league performance in 2023–24 before injuries limited him to 29 Triple-A games in 2025 with a .173 average. Kasevich rebounded in the Arizona Fall League, posting a .255 average with 10 runs, four RBIs, three steals, 17 walks and 11 strikeouts in 17 games. Kasevich could see major-league time in 2026 depending on Bo Bichette's status.
