Toronto Blue Jays will play Team Canada in Dunedin on March 3 as a tune-up before the March 5, 2026 World Baseball Classic. The WBC opens with 20 teams in four pools of five for a round-robin first stage. Canada is in Pool A with Puerto Rico, Cuba, Panama, and Colombia and has never advanced past the initial round robin. Projected Canadian position players include Freddie Freeman, Josh Naylor, Tyler O'Neill, and Bo Naylor alongside several prospects. Nick Pivetta should lead the pitching staff with Jameson Taillon as another likely MLB starter. Cuba and Puerto Rico are favored in Pool A, but prospect depth gives Canada a chance to advance.
