Shohei Ohtani homered on the second pitch of the game and added a solo shot in the third for his 48th home run of the season. Ohtani also walked three times and reached base five times. Mookie Betts hit a home run as well. Clayton Kershaw struck out eight in 5 2/3 innings and earned his sixth straight win. The Dodgers won 5-2, ending a five-game losing skid that included two ninth-inning losses and returning home still in first place in the NL West.
