"Every week, Long Beach Coast will play as our alter ego. The Regulators."
"To be able to say that I'm a part of Long Beach, like a team that's part of the city where I was born and raised, is amazing to me,"
"We're going to get it going and try to win some championships."
"will appear through select in-ballpark experiences, special activations, creative storytelling and limited merchandise drops."
The new Pioneer League team is officially named the Long Beach Coast and will begin play this season at Blair Field. The team will adopt an alter ego, the Long Beach Regulators, and will play as the Regulators each week. The Regulators name honors Warren G's 1994 hit Regulate and Long Beach's G-funk hip-hop roots; co-owner Warren G expressed pride in representing his hometown and intent to pursue championships. The Regulators identity will appear in select in-ballpark experiences, special activations, creative storytelling and limited merchandise drops. Long Beach previously hosted three independent minor league teams over the last 30 years.
