MLB.com predicting Tucker to the Blue Jays and Bichette to the Dodgers
"All eyes are on whether or not the Blue Jays can land top free agent Kyle Tucker and/or reunite with star shortstop Bo Bichette. The possibility of Toronto signing one of the high-profile players is still looking good. But the probability of the Blue Jays netting both now has become much more slim with Bichette reportedly seeking a contract in the neighbourhood of $300 million."
"With Tucker landing in Toronto, the Blue Jays would have an unstoppable offence that would consist of the top free agent in the market, along with the face of the franchise in Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, the newly acquired Okamoto and Anthony Santander to lead the attack. More importantly, Tucker adds another left-handed bat to the Blue Jays core, creating a much-needed balance throughout the lineup as a result."
The Blue Jays are pursuing Kyle Tucker and Bo Bichette in the offseason. Signing either high-profile player remains plausible, but landing both has become much less likely because Bichette is reportedly seeking a contract near $300 million. Toronto's addition of Kazuma Okamoto would create an infield logjam alongside Ernie Clement and Andrés Giménez, complicating Bichette's return. Tucker represents the most sensible fit as an outfield addition and another left-handed bat, complementing Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, Okamoto, and Anthony Santander. Tucker in Toronto would significantly boost the team's World Series chances, while Los Angeles acquiring Bichette would strengthen its roster and address second base.
