MLB releases bold Dodgers spring training hat design
"The Dodgers' cap contains a white cursive "D" on a blue background, accompanied by a cactus with blooming flowers. The side of the cap features a desert-themed patch with the number 26 and a cactus. The Dodges have had the cursive "D" on the front of their cap every year since 2024, and previously had the same logo in the 2010s. They've made a change to this design, though, adding a white brim and a noticeable outline to the logo."
"The Dodgers only began playing spring training in 2009, as they played their games in the Grapefruit League in Florida prior to then. L.A. called Holman Stadium at Vero Beach, Florida - also called Dodgertown - their home from 1953-2009, making their first appearance there when the Dodgers still played in Brooklyn. The Dodgers' agreement with Holman Stadium ended in 2008, but it remains as the Jackie Robinson Training Complex today."
"The Dodgers' opening game of 2026 spring training comes Saturday, Feb. 21 against the Los Angeles Angels - a team which beat them in all six of their meetings last season. Their campaign starts well before that, though. Pitchers and catchers are due to report to Camelback Ranch Friday, Feb. 13 for their first workout of the spring, and the remainder of the team will report Thursday, Feb. 19 for the first full-squad workout of the season."
MLB released spring training hat designs for all 15 Cactus League teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers' cap contains a white cursive 'D' on a blue background and shows a cactus with blooming flowers. The cap's side features a desert-themed patch bearing the number 26 and a cactus. The team has used the cursive 'D' on the front annually since 2024 and previously during the 2010s, with a recent design change adding a white brim and noticeable outline. The Dodgers moved spring training from Florida's Grapefruit League to Arizona in 2009 and now train at Camelback Ranch, which they share with the Chicago White Sox. Pitchers and catchers report Feb. 13, the full squad reports Feb. 19, and the opening game is Feb. 21, 2026 versus the Angels.
