The 2025 regular season is entering its final month with the playoff field largely set and seeding still in flux. The Milwaukee Brewers sit atop the rankings, with the Los Angeles Dodgers closing the gap during a four-game win streak. Several teams jockey for positioning: the Yankees moved into the top 10, the Red Sox challenge the Blue Jays for the AL East, and the Royals mount a late push to join the postseason race. The Athletics aim for a .500 finish, while the Colorado Rockies struggle near the league's worst record.
While the Brewers reamin far and away the best team in MLB, the Dodgers are creeping up behind them amid a four-game win streak. Elsewhere, the Yankees entered the top 10, while the Red Sox are looking like a serious threat to take down the Blue Jays and win the AL East. The Royals are making a last-ditch effort to crack the playoff race, while the surprise Athletics are making a run to finish .500.
The playoff field may as well be set, with six teams in each league separating themselves from the rest of the pack. While there doesn't appear to be much movement coming in which teams make the playoffs, there's plenty to watch out for in terms of seeding.
