The month is nearly over and December is approaching. Anticipation exists for the year's end and the symbolic turning of the calendar page. The Orioles signed Ryan Helsley for $28 million over two years, with current projections around 0.7–1.0 WAR. Raisel Iglesias signed for $16 million for one year, with projections around 0.5–0.8 WAR. Uncertainty exists about the value of those contracts and the Braves were likely not a destination for Helsley. The reliever market is accepted as-is, with a resigned attitude expressed as "c'est la vie."
