Jared Grindlinger is reclassifying to graduate with the 2026 class, making him eligible for the 2026 amateur draft. The left-handed 16-year-old throws 93–95 mph and remains uncommitted. His brother Trent is a freshman at Tennessee, creating the possibility of joining him later this season. Reclassification is expected to attract additional scout attention and increased scrutiny. Grindlinger began accelerating coursework last fall by taking online classes to enable early graduation. He opened the season against Loyola, recording four strikeouts while allowing five hits and three runs over three innings.
