The comments generated trade speculation despite Harper having six years and $330 million remaining on his deal and a no-trade clause. Harper emphasized his full commitment to Philadelphia, cited a wrist injury and reduced OPS, and expressed discomfort with recurring trade talk. Dombrowski denied plans to trade Harper and said the team values him and expects better seasons.
