"The results of the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee vote will be announced live on MLB Network's "MLB Tonight" at 4:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, Dec. 7. The ballot features players whose most significant career impact was realized since 1980, who played at least 10 seasons and who have been retired for 15 or more years. The Contemporary Baseball Era Committee vote results will be announced live on MLB Network's "MLB Tonight" at 4:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, Dec. 7. Candidates receiving 75% of committee votes will be elected and inducted in Cooperstown on July 27, 2026. The ballot was determined by an 11-member Historical Overview Committee, and the 16-member electorates will be announced later; the Committee will meet during baseball's Winter Meetings in Orlando on Dec. 7.
