Cavan Biggio signed a minor league contract with the Houston Astros and will attend spring training as a non-roster player. The 30-year-old left-handed hitter played 37 games for the Kansas City Royals in the prior season and appeared at multiple positions including first, second, third base, two outfield spots and designated hitter. In 69 at-bats with the Royals he slashed .174/.296/.246 with a .543 OPS, one home run and four RBIs. Biggio also spent 30 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024, hitting .192 with three home runs. He is the son of longtime Astros infielder Craig Biggio.
