The Los Angeles Dodgers signed reliever Edwin Díaz to a three-year, $69 million deal that includes more than $13 million in deferrals and a conditional 2029 option. Díaz opted out of the final two years and $38 million of his Mets contract after seven seasons in New York. He posted 28 saves, a 1.63 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 66.1 innings last season, and owns 253 career saves with a 2.82 ERA. Díaz missed the 2023 season with a torn patellar tendon in the World Baseball Classic and will wear No. 3 in Los Angeles as a nod to his three children.
