Dodgers News: Roki Sasaki Making Another Rehab Start With Triple-A Oklahoma City
"I think for us, it's just trying to get some consistency out of him to build him up and also at this point in time, just to perform,"
"Our starters are pitching well, so the bar is high. This is a good kind of learning process for Roki. Just continue to pound the strike zone, command the baseball and perform."
"I think the velocity needs to be consistent, the strike-throwing needs to be consistent and just overall command,"
Roki Sasaki began a Triple-A rehab assignment with Oklahoma City as the Dodgers evaluate whether he can rejoin the major-league roster before season's end. He has produced a 7.07 ERA and 1.79 WHIP with eight strikeouts and eight walks across 14 innings in four Comets starts. His most recent outing yielded four runs on three hits with two strikeouts and two walks over five innings. Sasaki has been on the injured list since May 13 due to a right shoulder impingement that twice halted his throwing. The Dodgers emphasize building consistency in velocity, command and strike-throwing before making a roster decision.
