"Kemp was a sixth-round pick of the Dodgers in the 2003 MLB Draft out of Midwest City High School in Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut three years later in 2006, playing a total of 52 games that season. Kemp then had a breakout 2007 season, batting .342/.373/.521 with 12 doubles and 10 home runs in 98 games. His most impressive season was in 2011, where Kemp hit .324/.399/.586 and finished one homer shy of the 40/40 club."
