He also congratulated the other award winners and gave a nod to the 1986 New York Mets, who were celebrating the 40th anniversary of their championship at the dinner."

Ohtani wasn't the only member of his family to win an award on Saturday night. His dog, Decoy (Dekopin in Japanese), also took home 2025 NL Most Valuable Dog honors."
