"That's the motivation for me right now, to get back to how I was a few years ago," Miller said. "I know it's still in there, and there's more than that as well."

"The big thing for me is just not trying to panic," he said. "I found myself doing that a little bit last year, just worrying so much about getting back to the big leagues."
Bobby Miller delivered a strong rookie season in 2023 but struggled over the next two years, losing his rotation spot after 13 poor appearances in 2024. A standout six-inning, 11-strikeout outing in 2023 became an unresolved outlier. A 2025 line drive to the head during Spring Training delayed his recovery, hampered his buildup, and prevented competition for the Opening Day roster. A later spot start produced more struggles. Miller intends to treat 2026 as a clean slate, emphasizing steady rebuilding, avoiding panic, and putting in work despite crowded pitching depth charts.
