Dodgers' Max Muncy Still Dealing With Symptoms After Hit By Pitch On Head
"He was still a little fuzzy (Tuesday) but fine, and today feels better,"
"So I think for me, I just wanted to give him an extra day."
"As of right now, we're OK. Jaw hurts a little bit, but I did get hit in the face,"
"But I played enough football growing up. Know all the signs I need to be looking for, and I don't have any of those, so it's obviously good. Sucks to get hit again, but that's baseball."
Max Muncy was struck in the back of the helmet by a 94.1 mph sinker Saturday and was hit in the hand/wrist the previous day. He has appeared in only one game since the helmet hit, on Monday. Muncy reported jaw soreness but displayed no concussion signs and was given an extra day of rest after feeling a little fuzzy earlier in the week. Muncy has missed time this season with knee and oblique injuries but remains productive, batting .250/.385/.480 with 18 home runs and 65 RBIs. The Dodgers are 57-38 with Muncy playing and expect him to be back Thursday night.
