"Some of the struggles, the not being able to participate, to being in Triple-A, the rehab assignment, and to come back. He just wants to help. I'm really, really proud of his growth and what he's done."
""I don't know," Roberts began. "I think two would probably be the max. But depending on the rest, depending on how he looks, we'll kind of have conversation. But I'm not sure. As we say, it's fluid. We've just got to kind of see. I don't want to make any decisions right now.""
Roki Sasaki returned to the Los Angeles Dodgers roster and made an immediate impact in a bullpen role. He relieved Blake Snell, tossed a scoreless seventh inning on 13 pitches, retired all three batters, recorded two strikeouts and reached 100 mph. Sasaki followed with another scoreless inning, showing improved velocity and command. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted increased confidence and growth after struggles, Triple-A time and rehab. Sasaki had not appeared for the team since May 9 and had been limited to eight Major League starts. The Dodgers are still determining his role, and he could earn a postseason relief spot.
