Reid Detmers was transferred to the 60-day injured list after an initial 15-day IL placement for elbow inflammation, officially ending his season. An MRI revealed no structural damage and he plans to have a normal offseason. The 26-year-old expressed willingness to pitch in any role but prefers returning to the starting rotation after spending a season in the bullpen. Detmers was the No. 10 pick in 2020 and posted a combined 4.15 ERA, 24.5% strikeout rate and 1.04 homers per nine as a starter in 2022-23. He struggled in 2024, recording a 6.70 ERA and a 1.85 HR/9.
