"Don't pull the cord on me yet, Vassegh. No, I'm still playing. I'm down here in Arizona working out. Um, you know, I... I don't know where it's going to be yet, obviously with free agency being the way it is, but, um, I will be playing again this coming season."
"I really just-right now I'm just focused on getting myself right, Being ready to show up in spring training and be playing like my best, the way I know I'm capable of playing. Um, trying to get the body right, make sure I'm healthy and able to stay on the field."
Chris Taylor plans to continue his MLB career and is training in Arizona while navigating free agency. The Dodgers released him in May 2025 and he finished the season with the Angels, playing 30 games with a .599 OPS. Taylor fractured his hand after being hit by a pitch in his 10th game with the Angels, returned a couple months later, then re-aggravated the injury on a diving play. He spent ten seasons with the Dodgers after a mid-2016 trade, slashing .250/.330/.431 with 108 home runs and 423 RBIs and making the 2021 All-Star team. Taylor, 35, aims to be healthy and ready for spring training and to play in 2026.
